This is the steeply from the church on the corner.  I can see it from my window and have gone by it almost everyday since I got to this town.  Every time I pass by on foot, I always take  a moment to stop and look at it in quiet reverence.  Not because it’s a church, just because I like the way it looks.  My favorite part, which you can’t really see in the picture, is what’s on top of the weather vane.  I’m not sure why, but there’s a big hand up there, with a finger pointing to the sky… to god perhaps.

But I have a problem with that.  See I was raised with the idea that it is really poor manners to point at someone.  So wouldn’t it be rude to point to god, let alone erect a metal object permanently pointing?  I don’t think I’d like it.  Good thing I’m not god!
